In class, students completed the 'Taking Notes' chart at the top of pg 342 including a brief description of each person on the chart as well.

HW due Tuesday: Current events. Find a news story that affects the Western World. Write a 1-paragraph summary of the story and 2 class discussion questions on it.

In class, students researched important Renaissance thinkers and artists.

HW due Monday: Read text 342-345 and answer Assessment #5 on pg. 345.

Quiz Monday

My apologies to the class for a failure to update the blog, but it was clearly enunciated twice in class on Thursday that your quiz would be held today, Monday 1/23. For students who were traveling, I apologize if your peers were unable to inform you of this assessment. FIS athletes who were away and were unable to study can discuss individual concerns with me.

In class, students discussed current events articles.

HW: Read your specifically assigned text pages within 261-266 and complete 'Taking Notes' assignment on top of pg 261. Traveling students should read entire 261-266 and complete 'Taking Notes' for the whole section.

Class will not meet on Monday, Jan 16th.

Tues, Jan 3

In class, students met in groups to discuss news stories from the Muslim world. They broke up into newscast groups to prepare a show for the class.

Due Thurs, Jan 5: Groups will present newscasts (with 3 stories) to the class with a name for the show, theme song, anchor, and actors.
