In class, students completed a quiz on Chapter 14. Traveling students should be prepared to take this quiz the next time they are present in class.

HW due today 3/6: students read text pgs 355-359, completed 'Taking Notes' at top of pg 355 and the 'Body Snatcher' question in sidebar on pg 359.
In class, students reviewed Chapter 14 in preparation for a quiz on Monday 3/12.
For Thurs 3/8, Western Civ. will meet with Viv in the library. Bring personal computers or use one of the computers in the library. Research a current events article. Print it out. Read it in its entirety. Write a 1-paragraph summary of the article in your own words and 2 class discussion questions on your article.

Quiz Monday
My apologies to the class for a failure to update the blog, but it was clearly enunciated twice in class on Thursday that your quiz would be held today, Monday 1/23. For students who were traveling, I apologize if your peers were unable to inform you of this assessment. FIS athletes who were away and were unable to study can discuss individual concerns with me.

In class, students met in groups to discuss news stories from the Muslim world. They broke up into newscast groups to prepare a show for the class.
Due Thurs, Jan 5: Groups will present newscasts (with 3 stories) to the class with a name for the show, theme song, anchor, and actors.
